Avec ses 38m de longueur, 20m de largeur et 11m de hauteur moyenne sous voûte, l’église de Saint-Émilion est la plus vaste église souterraine médiévale d’Europe. Creusée au début du XIIe siècle, elle a été reconsacrée dès 1838.
Immergez-vous au cœur de ce monument de la cité médiévale qui fut sculptée au XIIe siècle, peinte au XIVe, dévastée au XVIe, malmenée au XVIIIe pendant la Révolution et restaurée au XXe siècle !

With its 38m length, 20m width and 11m average height under vault, the church of Saint-Émilion is the largest medieval underground church in Europe. Dug at the beginning of the 12th century, it was rebuilt in 1838.
Immerse yourself in the heart of this monument of the medieval city which was sculpted in the 12th century, painted in the 14th century, devastated in the 16th century, abused in the 18th century during the Revolution and restored in the 20th century!
