20h00 – Oakland
Oakland est la réunion d’un collectif de musiciens bordelais désireux de rendre hommage au groupe mythique californien des années 70 et toujours en activité, Tower of Power. Pour fêter les 50 ans de leurs aînés, Oakland vous propose un répertoire retraçant l’évolution de ce groupe légendaire de soul/funk américain.
21h30 – R!X
Après des années passées à élaborer son funk, R!X lance en 2017 son premier album solo « NOOBA » dans lequel il joue de la guitare, chante et joue de la basse et des claviers. Ce musicien polyvalent produit un funk progressif situé entre la planète soul- funk américaine et sa propre idée de la pop. Sur scène, il affirme son identité sonore et creuse son sillon dans un style qui lui est propre, soucieux de ne pas coller à tous les clichés du genre.

Brass Under Influence est une fanfare inspirée par la musique de la Nouvelle Orléans, qui rend particulièrement hommage à The Nightcrawlers (fondée par Craig Klein et Tom Mc Dermott), et à leur album « Slither Slice ». Le groupe est dans la lignée de la pure tradition des fanfares de Crescent City, puisque ses musiciens ont nommé un Grand Marshall, personnage qui dirige selon des codes spécifiques les Second Line et les cérémonies comme les

Oakland is the meeting of a collective of musicians from Bordeaux who wish to pay tribute to the mythical Californian band of the 70s, Tower of Power, which is still in operation. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of their elders, Oakland offers you a repertoire retracing the evolution of this legendary American soul/funk band.

After years of developing his funk, R!X released his first solo album «NOOBA» in 2017 in which he plays guitar, sings and plays bass and keyboards. This versatile musician produces a progressive funk located between the American soul-funk planet and his own idea of pop. On stage, he affirms his sound identity and deepens his groove in a style that is unique to him, anxious not to stick to all the clichés of the genre.

Brass Under Influence is a brass band inspired by New Orleans music, which pays special tribute to The Nightcrawlers (founded by Craig Klein and Tom Mc Dermott), and their album «Slither Slice».
